Dr. Deja Gilbert, PhD, LMHC, LPC

CEO

Dr. Deja Gilbert is a professional with both executive and clinical experience in the behavioral healthcare industry. Dr. Gilbert obtained her PhD from Capella University and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in multiple states.

Dr. Gilbert began her journey in behavioral healthcare as a primary substance abuse counselor working with adolescents and their families. Utilizing the clinical insight that she had developed as a foundation, she then went on to successfully open, develop, and manage several behavioral healthcare facilities while implementing strong clinical programming that exceeded core clinical standards. Her goal is always to cultivate a culture of positive attitude, ethics, and values.

Dr. Gilbert’s contributions are not only apparent within the behavioral healthcare industry but her actions have also reached the local community in an impactful and meaningful way. It is her hope that the presence of foundational behavioral healthcare facilities will make a difference not only in the lives of the patients that it treats, but also provide an opportunity for educational discourse, awareness,
and an overall understanding of behavioral healthcare in the community in which it serves.

Christina Geraci Rosenberg, LMHC

Chief Clinical Officer

Christina is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, with a Master’s Degree in Counselor’s Education from Florida International University. She has been working in the addiction recovery industry since 2016. Over the last five years, she has been working for a nationally recognized, substance abuse recovery group. She joins us from her most recent role as Clinical Director, at a residential facility for adolescents. In her role as Clinical Director, she was responsible for overseeing all clinical operations, preparations for accreditation inspections, creation and implementation of evidenced based curriculum, oversight of clinical staff and Master’s level interns, and crisis interventions. Christina eats, breathes, and sleeps therapy, even her goldendoodle is a certified therapy dog. In her free time, Christina prioritizes parenting her 9-month-old child and (tries) to make time for her yoga practice. Christina is excited to join the Harmony Family and brings with her a passion for accessible, quality, client-centered care.

Matthew Beckwith

Matt started his career out in the hospitality and guest services field in 2006 before moving to Florida in 2008 for the past five years he has worked in the substance abuse field as a certified interventionist and Admissions director for some of the most prestigious treatment organizations in Florida some with locations nationwide. Matthew is overseeing all components of Recovery by the Sea and Harmony Treatment & Wellness of Stuart.

Matt brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that we look for in all our staff members as we set the bar high he helps us raise it and continues to help set us apart from other treatment centers. He takes joy in helping not only the guest at our facilities but their entire family making sure everyone gets the help and guidance they need in what may be the most difficult times of their lives.

Maggie Votteler

VP of Operations

Maggie Votteler has served as a leader in the substance use/mental health field in South Florida for the past 10+ years as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for an inpatient detox facility, COO for an outpatient medication assisted treatment clinic, as well as Regional Director of Operations for an in-home addiction program. 

In each setting, she has shaped the development of programs, trained staff, and established best practices in alignment with a variety of regulatory and licensing bodies. Using data to drive decisions at an organizational level has also been one of her passions. Her background in Clinical Psychology has allowed her to determine various types of motivation in teams, helped develop skills for individual staff, and work on teams with professionals from a variety of disciplines.

In recognition of her leadership, she was recruited to serve as an Advisor on a panel for an Executive Program at FIU: Women in Leadership. She is proud to be part of shaping this certificate program for women in the business world, offering her insight and experience as a way to mentor women new to business, as well as connecting with other known leaders in South Florida.

Evelyn Mahony

Vice President of Finance

Evelyn is an experienced financial and accounting professional who joined Harmony Recovery Group in 2018. Evelyn quickly displayed her eye for detail and strategic thinking. Her immediate impact on the business led her to a promotion to VP of Finance.

In her role, Evelyn oversees the finances of all facilities and leads a team of dedicated professionals committed to the company’s unwavering mission.

A native of South Florida, Evelyn has seen the impact Harmony Recovery Group has had on her local community. She is fiercely committed to helping the company grow in order to continue to help more people and heal more communities.

Michael Colasuonno

Michael Colasuonno

Vice President of Admissions

Michael began his career in the Substance Abuse / Mental Health field in 2010, attending a program in New York City to become educationally qualified for a CASAC-T credential. After battling addiction for many years and recovering, Michael became interested in helping those like him escape the clutches of their dependencies. Michael worked in the non-profit sector in NYC as a clinical case manager for 2 years before exploring different career paths and eventually heeding a calling to return in 2015 as an admissions coordinator. Michael came to Harmony Recovery Group in 2018 and he has used his background and experience in psychology and clinical services to help our patients and their families find a home and proper care within the Harmony Recovery Group facilities.

Samantha Osterlof

Vice President of Marketing & Development

Samantha holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Elizabethtown College and a Graduate Degree from Saint Joseph’s University with a major in Criminal Justice and an emphasis in Behavior Management. Samantha has held a plethora of different leadership positions within the behavioral healthcare space including, Behavioral Health Technician, Co-facilitator of Family Programming, clinical care, aftercare coordination and various business development roles. Samantha credits her knowledge not just on her educational accolades, but on being provided opportunities to grow her skillset through all levels of behavioral healthcare field. Samantha is also a Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) and a Certified Family Recovery Specialist (CFRS). Samantha has a passion for building and nourishing dedicated, passionate and ethically sound business development teams. Samantha aspires to continue to be an advocate in the recovery community – reinforcing that treatment works, and recovery is possible.

Fredi-Ruth Levitt, LCSW

Corporate Executive Director

Fredi-Ruth Levitt has worked in the human service field for 30 plus years and has been an Executive for most of her adult life. She went to Clark University for her undergraduate degree, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Criminology. She then attended Sacramento State University for her graduate degree where she received her master’s in social work. Fredi received her clinical license in both CT and FL and is also a qualified supervisor for people who need to obtain clinical hours towards licensure.

Fredi has held various jobs throughout her career. She started her career in working with emotionally challenged adolescents and their families. She held positions such as a supervisor of a crisis unit in a school for emotionally challenged adolescents, helped develop, create and supervise a locked unit for emotionally disturbed females, clinical supervisor for a foster care agency and a residential and clinical director of emotionally disturbed adolescents’ units. She then moved into working with adults. She was an Executive Director of an adult outpatient drug and alcohol program. Before coming to HRG, she spent 8 years as an Executive Director of a 160 plus bed substance abuse facility for adults, 32 bed luxurious executive substance abuse facility and a 40-bed mental health facility. She helped start the telemed IOP program for that agency and led the family program for 2 ½ years.

Fredi believes in a client centered holistic approach to treatment which treats the physical, emotional and spiritual component of each client. Fredi is a passionate and dedicated leader who strives to lead her team to practice the most current and evidenced base treatment to address each client’s individual needs.

Fredi has a unique ability to recognize strengths and attributes in others and then cultivate, train, encourage and support them to reach their highest potentials. Team building is also one of Fredi’s accomplishments that she has excelled in with a proven track record of positive results.

Fredi is a compassionate individual, respectful of privacy and personal struggle yet straightforward. Fredi is like “a rock in the midst of chaos”. She has an innate ability and patience to calm a situation and even be humorous in diffusing even the most difficult situations. Fredi gently guides patients to realize themselves that they can overcome and stay the course.

Fredi excels in interventions. She has learned that she is deeply passionate about helping others, building people up and navigating them to a healthier place for their lives.

In Fredi’s personal life, she enjoys time with her family and dogs. She loves spending weekends by her pool, traveling and relaxing at the beach.

Bella Ison, BA, CNDAI, CNFS

Business Development – Regional Director

Bella was born in Brooklyn New York of Russian and Jewish decent and speaks fluent Russian and Hebrew. Bella is a Certified Drug and Alcohol Interventionist and Family Support Specialist. Bella started her journey in the field of Addiction several years ago. Bella has operated and owned her own Recovery Homes. It was there she started working with families and those addicted. Bella knew there was so much more she could do because of her love and drive for helping families and those in need of help. She wanted to do more and took her incredible knowledge and started working in treatment. Bella has worked in various areas of treatment over the years from Operations Manager, Business Development, Chief Operating Officer and Assistant to the CEO. Bella’s devotion to the families she works so closely with, while case managing the loved one through this process is what makes her so very special.

Business Development Executive

Evie Parrott is compassionate and understanding Outreach Representative for Harmony Recovery Group in North Carolina. She is a Certified Peer Support Specialist who has a solid understanding of substance abuse and mental health recovery. She possesses a unique perspective, personally living in recovery and maintaining success.

She has earned a full certification as not only a Peer Support Specialist but a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor and Recovery Coach. She is proactive in advocating for clients and continually facilitates open communication providing excellent capabilities working with all ages. Evie’s primary mission is just simply to help others help themselves.

Jessica White

Business Development for North Carolina

Jessica White loves recovery stories and believes in making recovery a reality for as many people as possible. For over a decade, Jessica has worked in multiple facets of behavioral health, including operations, administration, strategic planning and implementation, professional development and training, marketing, and business development; all with a special focus on the client experience and outcomes. She is passionate about getting clients the most clinically and financially appropriate treatment, as quickly as possible, and ensuring cohesive aftercare plans to support sustainable recovery and growth. She is committed to creating cultures of excellence that embrace a philosophy of dignity and respect for all.

Jessica lives in Charlotte, North Carolina and is active in local faith and recovery communities. She prioritizes holistic health and loves gardening, hiking, reading good books, and spending time with friends, family, and her miniature pincher, Gretel, and kittens, Mick and Keith. She currently serves on the board of NAMI Charlotte and has served as Vice President and Board Member of the North Carolina Foundation for Alcohol and Drug Studies, and Co-Conference Chair and Board Member of Addiction Professionals of North Carolina.

Found her home with Harmony Recovery Group in September of 2021 working with our patients, families, and recovering communities throughout the northeast. Melissa born and raised in New York, now currently resides in New Jersey where she found recovery after overcoming her own battle with mental health disorders and addiction. Melissa utilizes her own personal experience and connections to help guide those who are struggling, and their loved ones through the uncomfortable process of recovery. Melissa is very passionate in her work with behavioral health knowing she can be an advocate for families and assist them in achieving and maintaining success.

Dana Carlson

Business Development Representative

Dana was born in Jacksonville, FL. She had the opportunity, as a child and teenager, to travel and reside in the United States and out of the country. She attended boarding school in Southeast Asia until her senior year in high school when she moved back to the states. Dana attended college at Jacksonville University.

Dana has been in the healthcare industry since 2004, which includes DME and homecare. She found herself very interested in psychology after family members were struggling with mental illness and substance issues. In 2011, she started working for a psych facility that treated mental illness and substance use. Not long after working there, Dana knew she had chosen the right field for herself, which was psych.  Her passion is to help those in need of treatment and be a resource to them.

In her spare time, there are many things she enjoys such as watching college football, spending time with her 12 year old daughter, being with family and friends, traveling and so much more.

Community Outreach – Regional Director

Justin was born and raised in NJ before moving to South Florida. After struggling with drug addiction beginning at the age of 15 and being in and out of countless detox and treatment centers, Justin got clean in 2012. He has always had a passion for helping others and shortly after getting clean he started working in the field as an admissions coordinator at Ocean Breeze Recovery. After almost 4 years of working at Ocean Breeze Justin found his home at Harmony Recovery Group. Justin now works as a Outreach Coordinator which gives him a hands on approach with each client that comes through the door. He is now able to share his experience with other clients who have been through the same struggles.

Shaun Nevel

Financial Controller

With seven years of experience in healthcare accounting, including time spent serving as Corporate Controller for other treatment centers, Shaun focuses his accounting career on healthcare because he likes to be a part of a company that is making a difference. In his previous controller positions, Shaun had overall responsibility for financial reporting, planning, budgeting, systems of internal controls, and corporate accounting. He also led Progressive Care’s 340B financial administration program, where he developed new accounting systems to calculate FQHC reimbursements, complete cost/benefit analyses, and prepare for HRSA/manufacturer audits. In doing so, he worked closely with local community health centers that provided HIV specialty care and mental health counseling to low-income individuals. Shaun is a South Florida native and attended Florida Atlantic University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting.  

Kim Koslow, LMHC, MCAP, CTT, CAI

Alumni Care Director

Kim joins Harmony Recovery Group with over two decades of experience in the behavioral healthcare industry.   

Kim is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Master Certified Addiction Professional, Certified Trauma Therapist, Certified ARISE Interventionist, and a Qualified Supervisor. She is also the past president of the board for Gratitude House and currently serves on the board of Fern House.

In 2001, Kim began her career at Hanley Center. While working on the women’s unit, she saw a need for more aftercare support, thus creating an Alumni Program that is still in place today. Kim’s joy was connecting alumni to one another and setting up Alumni Chapters across the country, along with inviting the alumni back to celebrate years of recovery on Anniversary night. It was such a rewarding time in Kim’s professional life and one that she has treasured all these years.   

In 2008, under her parent company, Got Real Recovery, Kim founded Butterfly House, one of the first FARR Certified Recovery Residences for women.  She served as Chief Executive Officer of Butterfly House until she closed the doors in late 2016.

In 2017, while working in private practice as a Psychotherapist and Interventionist, Kim was asked by a colleague if she knew anyone who would want to join an outreach team for a treatment center. Much to Kim’s own surprise, she said, “What about me?” And so began 5 years of bringing her gift of working with the addicted and their families to the outreach arena.  And yet, Kim yearned to return to direct care with the alumni and their families.

One of Kim’s mentors recognized her insatiable thirst to return to where she began. With Harmony Recovery Group ready to launch its Alumni Care Initiative, Kim is thrilled to join the team as Alumni Care Director.

Specializing in women’s issues, LGBTQ+, trauma, family, motivational intervention, and building community, Kim combines her own personal experiences along with her education and training to envision and provide a unique blend of care to individuals and families. 

A native New Yorker and long-time resident of Palm Beach County, Kim resides in Wellington with her family. As an alumna herself and woman in long-term recovery, her mantra is “It was in my heart to help a little because I was helped much.”  – Kahlil Gibran
